Unlike other marking abilities, Prophet's mark is not exactly a Mark, and as such cannot be removed with Arbalest's Flare. At least, after "Inhuman bondage" (for I have not played previous versions), Prophet's marks are shown as columns of red light falling onto some spaces, and not as "mark" icons on characters. So the only options remain Protecting characters and debuffing him to reduce the damage output.
Please, verify and update.
--- If I read right, The Vestal's "Hand of Light" targets only Ranks 1+2 and is useless against the prophet. -> Only occultists are useful for stacking damage debuffs on the prophet. Or do I miss something? ---
I just went into a fight against the prophet, and my vestal was completely useless. Maybe the hand of light suggestion was valid for an older revision of the game. I modified the page accordingly.
- Thanks for the edit. Yeah, protecting/debuffing are the only ways I know of to mitigate the damage so for future reference Occultist is your best bet. Personally, I'm fond of Occultist/Occultist/Man-At-Arms/Crusader for double debuffing/healing, guarding and the Crusader's self PROT ability. Also, whenever you edit a Talk page, make sure you put four ~ at the end. That way we know who said what, like this; GentleIceZ (talk) 20:58, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
Man-at-Arms' Defender[]
The Man-at-Arms' Defender ability is not really useful. Despite guarding other team mates, they are still affected by Rubble of Ruin. For example, my Arbalest got 42 damage despite my MaA guarding her and she hit Death's Door instantly. I was lucky that all other Rubble of Ruin attacks could be dodged. Maybe Defender was useful in an earlier version of DD but not anymore. The article should be updated to reflect this. 193.83.133.21 00:50, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
