The Collector is a mini-boss in Darkest Dungeon II.
Description[]
The Collector is a dangerous enemy that will hunt the heroes when they have a trophy from a Lair boss equipped or in their inventory.
Once it appears it will summon 3 Collected Heads. The Collector will attack the heroes with moderate DMG and applying
Taunt and
Combo, giving his heads access to powerful effects in their abilities such as
Stun and
Bleed. The Collector is able to re-summon any Collected Head that has been killed.
Once defeated, The Collector will leave behind a powerful trinket, valuable treasures (
Baubles), and potentially a unique deliverable.

The following is a table displaying the weighting [1], and a rough equivalent percentage for the Collector to appear at a given road fight in lieu of regular enemies, depending on how many trophies the player is holding [2].

- [1] - Darkest Dungeon 2 uses a weighting system to determine enemy encounters (And item drops / shop stock). Every possible outcome (Either a sub-table, or an outcome) is assigned a weighting, and then the game rolls a random number between 1 and the total weight of the table of outcomes, with the number determining the outcome.
- [2] - If equipped, the Collector's Chandelier Stagecoach Item counts as an additional trophy, if the player has atleast one trophy in their possession. Multiple Chandeliers will not stack.
- [3] - The player requires a trophy for the Collector to spawn, the Collector's Chandelier on its own will not enable the Collector to replace fights.
- [4] - This is the maximum spawnrate for the Collector without modifying game files. The player must have 1 trophy equipped, 3 in the inventory, and the Collector's Chandelier equipped as a stagecoach item (multiple Chandeliers do not stack).
- [5] - Excludes Sluice enemies.
- [6] - Despite the probability for the Collector to spawn being the same in each region, Pillager road fights feature different tables depending on the Region, so each region is listed for comprehensiveness.

The Collector's trophies assist it in battle either by protecting it, adding Positive Tokens to The Collector, healing
or by disrupting the heroes with
Stun and
Bleed. If they use their abilities against Heroes with
Combo, the effects will be more dangerous.
Killing one of the Collected Heads will not leave a corpse behind, and The Collector has an increased chance of re-spawning the Collected Heads for every Collected Head (15%/ 50% / 100%) that is currently dead. Only one of each Collected Head can be with The Collector, and Collected Heads immediately take their turns after being spawned.
